If I open another design magazine filled with the white minimalist trendy look I might scream.
Don’t get me wrong I love a good white room, but at some point it all starts to look the same and my heart dies a little. We ‘re not all the same, so why should we live the same? Doesn’t make sense!
When Luke and Dan initially requested a calmer house this time around, please no “purple mirror” etc., I’ve honestly tried to be “cool” and hop on the white trend. Feeling…uninspired and not in the mood to decorate. Are you with me? Does anyone else feel like this?
Having requested only gray and white for his room, Luke suddenly had a change of heart when I showed him the green library pic in here. He excitedly said “I have an idea let’s do the whole house crazy! With lots of weird crazy stuff all over”.
Music to my ears.
So that white trendy space… it will have to be for our next house I guess. I just love some of the jewel tones in these pics!

I’m going to be decidedly uncool and max out the space with color and all things fun and personality.
Life is too short not to.
