Happy 2020! I was able to do some work on the Idaho cabin over the holidays. Paint, paint, paint seem to be the biggest game changer. This is the first in a two step indoor/outdoor office makeover that’s long overdue. To increase value on the home we turned the garage in to a guest house with an apartment on the second floor. Our LA house is in a Swedish magazine and I thought I would share it with you. Journalist and photographer Stephanie Bjelkstam came to LA a while back to take pictures and to write a story about the makeover. She had read my Swedish blog for Sköna Hem and followed the story on my home “California Dreaming” – our LA House in a Magazine
When we bought our Spanish ranch rambler in the hills above LA it had not been renovated since it was built in 1967. The house was a mysterious blend of mid century and Spanish and had 60’s wallpaper and old carpeting still intact. Happy New Year! We’re excited to finally have a move in date. 2 1/2 years after moving in. Permits, termites, you name it delayed the guest house renovations.
