Name:
Jennifer Jansch
Where do you live?
Family: (or people living in the home)
What do you do?
Does your house have a name? If not what would you call it?
Our house in Bali has the name Villa Puro.
Where do you drink your morning coffee?
How does your home make you feel?
It makes me feel very relaxed now that it’s done. Building it was intense, but now it couldn’t be more serene. I designed the whole house and most of the furniture so in that sense it also makes me feel very proud, as it is an extention of myself.
Why is home design important to you?
I think it is important to be around beautiful things. Making sure to have nice things around you is a way to honor yourself and your family.
If someone who didn’t know you came to your house, how do you think they would describe you looking at your interiors?
A mix between urban and beach, basic and high end.
What room or area of your home makes you the happiest and why?
I love my bedroom.
I mostly work from my bed so the bedroom is very important to me.
Have you designed a space just for you? Or, a special area for anyone in the family?
We just finished two more rooms on the roof and one of them will eventually be my studio.
What do you think is the most important thing about a home?
Do you have a design mantra for your home?
The only thing I always do is to add only things I love. It is better to leave a space empty until you find just the right thing, opposed to just buying something to fill it up.
Can you share 3 Tips or Design tips how you create a home that makes you happy?
1. When you design a house or a space always start with a moodboard to give yourself a visual of what it is you want.
2. Don’t be too worried about keeping it tidy, living in it is more important.
3. Surround yourself only with things you love.

Amazing! So many things to gush about but those windows and the tile in the bathroom and covered patio are wonderful. Incredible how the house looks so stylish and high end but yet so inviting and nothing looks too precious. Perfect intersection of style with family and casual living.
this is a spectacular home! Can you please tell me about the marble tile in the bathroom and shower. I love the triangle pattern.
