Are you finally relaxing and enjoying the holidays?
Or are you running around doing last minute Christmas shopping and stressing about your to-do-list?
The weeks leading up to the holidays just seem to get busier and busier. I didn’t really even realize it was December! The news were filled with the sad shooting, there was no time to do a holiday card or buy presents for everyone I wanted to, nor did I have any free time to go to any parties.
But slowly the holiday spirit arrived.
Here is a look inside my week.
MONDAY 10 AM OUR DINING ROOM
Reneliza is sending out yet another day of Joss & Main orders. Until an office move happens the dining room sometimes highlights as a storage room.
Thank You to all the great customers!
TUESDAY 1PM – OUR GARAGE
Unpacking beautiful kilim carpets and a bunch of furnishings from Luke’s dad’s house. It’s exactly a year since he passed away and now his house has sold. It feels weird and sad. We buy all these things in life, then one day we don’t need them anymore. But I’m glad that Luke will have some memories left in our home from his dad.
7.40 AM STOCKHOLM AIRPORT, SWEDEN
Arrived after an overnight flight to snowy dark Sweden. Yes it’s dark, very dark.
But we are excited! In one instant Christmas has arrived.
8.40AM STOCKHOLM AIRPORT PARKING LOT
This sign is on the car parked next to my brother’s car.
Hmm…kind of like it…but kind of don’t…
4PM TORP, SWEDEN
Getting ready for sledding Swedish style!
5PM TORP
Doing some super simple holiday decor at our home. Too tired to go shopping for more stuff! It will have to do.
8AM WEDNESDAY – TORP Rush Hour
Sun has yet to come up. It’s dark and quiet. One car every five minutes makes up rush hour.
See the car in the distance?
9.30AM WEDNESDAY
Sun is finally coming up over this snowy little town.
11AM THURSDAY WERMLANDS OPERA -OFFICES
Luke opts to stay with my brother at work, instead of going Christmas shopping. Fun to spend time with his uncle.
I’m impressed with the drawings of costumes. Love this creative and cool office.
2PM THURSDAY, KARLSTAD , SWEDEN
Christmas shopping with my mom downtown. This is the town square.
The stature signifies the break up of Sweden and Norway. It used to be one country.
3PM CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
My mother and I are wondering why we still do Christmas gifts. It only adds to stress and a lot of presents people don’t really want. She hates shopping more than anything in the world!!
( My mom said I was only allowed to use this picture if I added text on top. We look too tired!)
SATURDAY 10AM
Eating breakfast enjoying the wintery view. Big snow flakes start falling.
SATURDAY 2PM – HILL OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE
An impromptu play with the kids in town. Kids playing like kids should. Outdoors in the fresh air, sledding, arriving in with rosy cheeks.
I guess Christmas is here after all.
Hope you all enjoy the holiday season and get to spend it with people you love.
P.S. DON’T FORGET TO ENTER THE BEDDING GIVEAWAY!!
Wow, you've been one busy lady! Loved the sign in the parking lot:-). I wanted to pop by to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! Enjoy Sweden. XX
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you Stacey!
