Starting the upcoming e-commerce site and the blog, I never anticipated the endless hours I would spend alone with my laptop making this idea come to life. Most days are really fun, and I feel excited about the progress, but some days I feel like everything is an uphill battle and I can’t get inspired. Those days Thomas Edison’s famous quote comes in handy “Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration”….
The most fun part is when I receive e-mails or comments from you!! I love to hear how you enjoyed something, or how designs on the blog have inspired a room in your house. THAT IS A BLAST!! So yesterday when I picked up Washingtonian magazine’s current issue it was great to see LiveLikeYou mentioned. I was amused by the title of the article we were included in. Because that’s what it feels like inside my head at all times “Web of Ideas”!!
Sorry for the grainy scan! This is Luke and me sitting at my favorite spot in my house in Sweden.

Writer Katie Knorovsky found a blog article I did on masculine interiors a while back. That led to a shoot with our first “test client” the Modern Bachelor, which was included in a fun article she wrote for the Washington Post Express called “Man Caves”. Thanks Katie for including LiveLikeYou as Best Local E- decorator site in Washingtonian!
It was also great fun to have Jennifer Sergent of DC by Design ask me for a “design trick”. Considering the economic times we’re in, and my love for the environment, I was happy to see the orange desk makeover in Washingtonian as well. Jennifer’s site, is the go-to-blog to find out everything (and more) about the design/art/interior world in the DC area.
Here’s is the image again.

It's great to see all your hard work and creativity being acknowledged in Washingtonian magazine! Congratulations. I always look forward to your blog.
Awesome, but no surprise because LiveLikeYou is fabulous!!!
