Honestly I’m completely stressed out at the moment. The bungalow is filled with packing boxes up to my ears. We move in one week from today to a house that does not even have floors yet! Let alone a finished bathroom. I’ve been focusing on getting the basics in the guest bedroom done this weekOne Room Challenge -Week 2 -the Kitchen makeover
We're finally painting!
A few days ago we started painting, not all of the house, but enough so we at least can move in.
One of the things I’m kind of obsessing over in design lately is black moldings and windows. This house has low ceilings and sunny California outside so I have to be careful not to be too heavy handed. Since I have the luxury of living there first and seeing what the light does to the walls, I can wait to decide just how heavy I can go with the use of black moldings.
We’re going to move in to the guest room for the first couple of weeks until the floor goes down. The plan for that room is to be a Beverly Hills hotel inspired suite with my own twist, so it was painted coral.READ MORE We're finally painting! →

BEDROOM DESIGN IDEA – MID CENTURY MAVEN

This time I paired up some of my label with West Elm, Waverly and Society Social for a somewhat cost conscious bedroom design.READ MORE BEDROOM DESIGN IDEA – MID CENTURY MAVEN →

Happy Easter everyone! Easter was my favorite holiday growing up. In Sweden we had Easter witches, bonfires and fireworks that made it such a festive holiday. (You might remember this post.) But the tiny flowers slowly budding after months of snow cover, the sun finally shining in the still chilly air might be my favoriteREAD MORE BEDROOM DESIGN IDEA – SPRING BLOOM! →
