Hope you are enjoying your summer. We arrived in Sweden this week to an almost finished house I couldn’t be happier. Our LA house is slowly taking shape. I haven’t had the house professionally photographed yet but a number of you have e-mailed and asked that I share pictures, so here are just a few snapshots of our dining area in the kitchen. You might already have seen talented designer Jana Bek’s sweet makeover in the One Room Challenge but I can’t resist sharing it with you here. It’s such a refreshing feminine space filled with pastels and chicness. I particularly of course love how great her new floral pillows and fabric mix with my black graphic bedding! Now I know why this is called the One Room Challenge…because it is truly a challenge to pull off a room just the way you planned it in only six weeks. My living room carpet finally arrived, and it was worth the wait. It’s my first design of a line of geometric shags for my Jill Sorensen Lifestyle. It’s super soft underfoot with just enough modern as well as organic vibe. I’m happy! For our living room I used a cream base with a dark brown My new living room rug- the geometric shag
The new rug design for our dining room has finally arrived! Before I could even unpack it my two dogs of course had to sit on it. Not sure why dogs always have to do that? How fun it was to open up Domino Magazine’s e-mail only to find our Black Key shams in a hip bedroom designed by one of the Homepolish designers. Two of my favorite things in one room. The Martinique banana leaf wallpaper mixed with Black Key bedding! How cool is this? Share This:
