Seeing a project come together, or even start to come together, is the fun part of the job. That and of course a client who is really excited about their new space. I’ve been in New York for the last couple of days, and yesterday I checked in on a apartment I’m designing for a lovely family uptown Manhattan. We haven’t installed the project yet, but paint, wallpaper and some light fixtures are in. It’s great seeing the colors and pattern come together, particularly when you come in and see a long distance project. There was nothing that didn’t look like I had it in my mind.
It just looked even better!
So sharing a little sneak peak….sorry only quick Iphone snaps.
We created a more defined entrance area in the living room with a graphic wallpaper on the three small walls just as you enter apartment.
The entrance doors were painted black on the inside.
I always love to see how all angles and colors play together on everything. Looks great with the kitchen appliances!
In the master bedroom we’re creating an engulfing sophisticated classic/modern hotel feel. Really excited about this room.
Modern damask wallpaper in a soothing gray. We painted the ceiling the darker gray in the wallpaper to add warmth and to make electrical lines that are unmovable go away. Love how the wallpaper works with the Tartufo chandelier.
The inside of the closets offer a surprising pop of color in the room…
If a space is more muted I think that is a fun effect.
Another pop of color is the master bathroom….
Both these colors will be tied in the fabrics and items when in the room design.
Can’t wait to see.
The office (and sometimes guest bedroom) was painted in a darker gray and has a wall of geometric David Hicks wallpaper.
Looks really cool and elegant.
Love the idea if wallpapering a wall. It defines the space nicely.
Okay, can’t wait to see the rest!
Looks fantastic love the wallpaper choices can't wait to see the final reveal.

The wall paper in bedroom looks simply superb. And it is a nice idea to paint the ceiling a darker tone of the wall stickers
