Sharing the paint colors in our house

My internet was down this morning so I couldn’t post earlier! Don’t you hate when your internet is down and you have to spend an hour on the phone listening to endless touch tone options and always press the wrong one?? Grrr.  Anyway….I get a lot of mails asking me about what colors I used in many of the rooms in our house.  So instead of always scrambling and try to remember, I thought to make it easy and simply share the most asked about colors in a post. It’s a good idea to record your favorite paint colors, so they are easy to get to when you need to paint. Something I need to get better at…

THE FOYER:

Gold field Yellow 292

All the colors are from Benjamin Moore. ( Remember paint chip colors viewed on computer are not always true to color, always view a real paint chip.)

GUEST BEDROOM:

Appalachian trail 633

LUKE’S BEDROOM

Seaport Blue 2060

LIBRARY/TV ROOM:

Here I used my own mix of two colors.

First one coat of:

Grand Canyon 118

Then one coat of:

Antelope Canyon 125

The duller orange underneath the bolder orange tones it down in just the right way I think.

This image and below Tanya Malott.

LIVING ROOM:

Water fall 2050-50

Ironically I can post bedroom and dining room because I can’t find the colors I used!  See that is what not to do! Anyway I’ll find the rest and do another post, also with the colors of some of the makeovers you’ve asked about.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. love this – thanks for posting. We're thinking of painting our bathrooms and can't decide… this is helpful! ps. love the photo of you!

  2. Not a bad idea at all to have different colors around the house. It sure keeps things from getting too boring. I guess I should thank you for giving me an idea to pass on to the house painters in perth that are finishing up my newly-built home.

  3. The room with a mint colored wall looks very cool to the eyes. It complements the color of the bed and the lighting too. I wish my painters in Perth would achieve that to my home renovation next month.

  4. The neon color makes this room look very vibrant and refreshing! My house painters in Perth would be glad to incorporate this in my playroom since I recently chose a darker shade. After seeing this room, I realize it's not bad at all to put a neon color shade on the wall.

  5. When choosing a color always consider your furniture's color and some of your decors also the curtains you have to match this all to have a good blending and a perfect look for your home.

  6. All the rooms look to beautiful! They remind me of a friend's house in Manila when I first visited there. But hers has darker hues because she doesn't like bright colors that much. Her house looks like a hotel and I felt like spending a lot of money just to stay, good thing I took a cheap flight to Manila. Still, your house is really cute!

  7. Wow! What a lovely colors! All the images are awesome. These color combinations make home feel so alive. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful post with regards to the paint colors. Really a great post.

  8. Hello just wanted to give you a brief heads
up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading properly.
I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue.

I've tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
