Office Makeover Part 2 – Outdoors

Did you catch the First part of this office makeover last week?

You can see the indoors HERE.

The garage turned guest house originally had no opening to the view and just a dusty hill outside.

We added a sliding door and built a deck that would capture the best view and sunset on the property.

The house is situated on a hillside and to be able to keep some trees, the deck had to get a slightly difficult shape.

I wanted to build it to capture the best view. A few scraggly trees were cut down, but one in the middle we kept and the terrace was then built around it.

It’s now furnished to go with the office interiors….

….and looks like this in the early evening.

It’s definitely a great space for work or meetings and perfect for a sunset cocktail.

The rug and ottomans are from Annie Selke (info below)  and the sofa and pink fur faux pillow are from Target.

The pink stool is an old one from World Market that we spray-painted in powder pink to go with the theme.

The pretty striped pillow is the Lexington White/Platinum striped Indoor/Outdoor Pillow from Annie Selke.

You can see the entire San Fernando Valley from here.

The wicker chairs are from Love Seat vintage in LA.

These amazing vintage rattan chairs with yellow vinyl were a score from Loveseat Vintage in downtown Los Angeles.

Pillow from Annie Selke.

I love these fun striped ottomans. They really make the space and can be used as tables, extra seats or to kick your feet up on and read or work.

It’s definitely nice not to be stuck inside an office all day.

Through the office window we created a gravel garden where you can eat or work.

Cushions from Target. The table cloth is from Sweden.

The peaceful pastel colors are carried all the way out and then all the way to the sunset skies.

The sunsets here are the best.

  1. Looks gorgeous! Both the inside and outside offices and he gravel garden dining space are wonderful, but together they are perfection! Those yellow cushioned rattan chairs, powder pink stool, and the rest of the things are so cheerful and pretty and upbeat. Great work, Jill. PS. Nothing wrong with that sunset either…..
