Every week is not so pretty. You, go, go, go until late at night and you’re up at the crack of dawn. You work the early morning shift, the day shift and the late night shift multitasking every step of the way. Just taking some Iphone snap shots from the week I realize it’s not always pretty and no wonder your head is sometimes spinning from it all! It’s simply running your own company, owning a house, parenting and living!
And how about adding this to your week?
A BROKEN FRIDGE FOR TEN DAYS!!!
The pieces were going to arrive every day, but never arrived.
The kitchen looked like this–
It would work one day, I would fill it with groceries, then break again the next day ruining them all.
There were meetings for Knock Out Abuse, our charity.
Going over numerous points, dates, and selecting the perfect chairwoman for the year.
THANK GOD FOR STARBUCKS LATTES SOMETIMES!
There was Luke’s big 5th grade project.
Which meant drawing, rehearsing, coming up with a Greek custome! Isn’t his drawing pretty? I really wonder what kids do who have parents that are not able to help. This added to some late bedtimes! Sometimes I’m baffled how much you are forced to work on school stuff?
DO you do that?
That meant that….
…late at night I would be creating designs for one of my current clients.
And a “needy” helper desperately wanted my attention and would go lay on top of it all.
Does your cat do that??
The pretty part of the week was a LiveLikeYou customer who sent beautiful Iphone snaps…
..of how fantastic our EMERALD REGENCY VELVET PILLOW and BRAIDED HIDE PILLOWS looked in her living room.
DON’T YOU LOVE??
And the amazing furniture pieces I snapped pictures of at The Washington Design Center.
So much beauty!
AND did you see one of our lamps from the site made it in to IN STYLE magazine?
Pretty cool! SQUARE PAGODA LAMP
While working on my curated collection for Joss & Main ( comes out April 15th)
…I would speak to my dad via Skype in Sweden. He always has great advice for my business and everything else.
(Sorry dad for using this picture!) Don’t you love Skype??
And down to the last minute Friday afternoon…
Drawing some new headboards designs with Cris (who refuses to be in pictures) for a couple of clients, that I will also add to site.
Can’t wait to show pictures, They are going to be really NICE!
Okay is your head spinning from all this?
SO YESTERDAY WHEN I FOUND MYSELF HERE for Luke’s spring break–
You can imagine we were all thrilled!!

Power went out at our Whole Foods this weekend, and all I could think of what the refrigerated stuff! What a disaster.
And, yes, my cat always wants to join in on projects too. They are highly involved pets!
Boy…..I would need a drink after all that!!!! You are a busy girl! Hopefully you can relax in that last picture!
I'm definitely having a few drinks!

I love knowing that we are not alone in our work-mom-fil-in-the-blank-other-projects madness! And BOY does that make the getaways even sweeter. Enjoy the beach!

you must have a great chiropractor!
Ha Ha. Enjoy your vacation you all deserve it.
The fabulous spring break is payment for the hard work you did. It's one of the realities of being a grown up– work first, and then the reward. Have fun and relax!
It's impressive that you are getting thoughts from this article as well as
from our argument made at this place.
