I used to have an excessive fear of the water from watching “Jaws” at a young age. But a few years ago while working in LA and driving by the surfers every morning, I decided I would try surfing once to force myself to face my fear. The second I caught that first wave in, I was hooked and instantly forgot about the sharks. I now surf any chance I get while visiting LA. I just make sure there’s lots more delicious shark bait ( people) in the water …just in case…Staying on the west side I love watching the surfers out at dawn waiting to catch some waves.
The easy going, bohemian lifestyle on LA’s West side has always appealed to me. Santa Monica and Venice beach are filled with bungalows. Charming, eccentric, bohemian and fun. I would love to have a “Surfer Girl” place here! If I did I would like it to look something like this…

Designer Krista Ewart’s cool beach bungalow.
Don’t know the designer but it reminds me of an artsy Venice beach bungalow.
