Inside my week outside design.

Interior design is just my day job…there are just so many other “jobs” you do in one week.

Here are a few glimpses inside my week “outside” design.

Perhaps you’ll find some of this familiar?

10AM MONDAY – INSIDE MY CAR

Annual vet visit.  Some pretty unhappy campers…

11AM MONDAY  – VET VISIT

Friendly vet visit with Dr. Storck at the Mc Lean Animal Hospital.

Lucky never met anyone she didn’t love!

NOON TUESDAY – SAX RESTAURANT & LOUNGE

My “other” job. Knock Out Abuse the charity I co-f0unded that helps victims of domestic violence is in full force for our upcoming event on November 1st. My job is to write and produce all video pieces as well as program for our “show”. Here Phil Dixon and I are directing and filming a short film with the chairwomen at SAX Restaurant & Lounge to suit this years Moulin Rouge theme.

If you live around DC go there for a drink, it’s beautiful design! You feel like you’re in Paris at the turn on the century!

6-9PM EVERY SINGLE NIGHT THIS WEEK….

THE DREADED HOME WORK!!!

After a full day’s work I’m  a teacher? Why do schools overload kids like this? Why can’t kids just be kids?

9AM WEDNESDAY – OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

My amazing mother is in town. Squeezing in a walk with the dogs.

4PM WEDNESDAY – ROUTE 7

Urgently rushing out to get gym shoes for Luke that no longer fit. Needed for his gym bag in the morning.

Isn’t this an uplifting road? LOL

3PM THURSDAY – GEORGETOWN

Okay just one design thing….Finalizing fabric and bed orders for a home in Georgetown. I draw everything. Prefer it that way.

6PM FRIDAY – PENN STATION NYC

Up and down to NYC in one day. 7 hours on the train. Weirdly – not exhausting, instead peaceful.

9.30AM SATURDAY MORNING  —  SOCCER FIELD

Luke getting ready to play goalie. Wish the games would start later…

2PM SUNDAY – THE INTIMIDATOR

With Luke at King’s Dominion. At the most terrifying roller coaster, Luke’s friend decides to take a pass.

I very reluctantly have to step in and to my surprise…totally love it!!

How was your week?
