A combined feeling of space and freedom.

WHAT ABOUT THE HOME WERE YOU DRAWN TO WHEN YOU FIRST SAW IT?

That it used to be an old school house on the island.

WHAT’S THE FIRST THING PEOPLE SAY WHEN THEY COME TO YOUR HOUSE?

That it’s very cozy.

WHAT PART OF YOUR HOME OR SPACE MAKES YOU THE HAPPIEST, AND WHY?

The kitchen that invites you to cook and the claw foot bathtub in the bathroom.

HAVE YOU DESIGNED A SPACE JUST FOR YOU? OR A SPECIAL AREA FOR ANYONE IN THE FAMILY?

I brought my old toy grocery store from my childhood, it was a gift from my mother’s friend the opera singer Nicholai Gedda. We keep it in the attic which is a great space for the kids to play.  We also we have an outdoor Balinese style daybed in the garden which is a nice spot to read or take a nap.

To feel there is life and personality in the spaces.

DO YOU HAVE A DESIGN MANTRA FOR YOUR HOME?

Keep it authentic to design and style.
