EPISODE # 1 – Move.Like.You

The next few months will bring about a lot of change.

So we thought we would have some fun and share this in a video diary, instead of just stressing out about it. We want to document it and  hopefully what we learn can be helpful to other people.

Thought it would be a great way to to share laughs, troubles, good tips, sources, designs, ideas and  hopefully get some good advice from you!

More details next time…

If you are interested in following along I  will post about it on Instagram@jillhsorensen

And create new design idea boards on Pinterest.com/livelikeyou.

  1. Best of luck! My tip is to rent a safety deposit box (or two if necessary) asap. Use it not only for legal documents but for the treasures you never want to lose. Precious old family momentos, silver, jewelry. It will give you peace of mind when you have lots of people coming through your house, destress packing, and when you need things like titles they will be easy to find. You can rent a box for six months, usually, so when the dust has settled and you are in a new spot you can retrieve your treasures. I love that you included your son.

    1. That's genius! What a great idea. We will definitely do that. That makes so much sense! I want to include this tip in next post!

  2. I can't wait to see the two of you moving! A trip worth taking and a move worth watching! Cute and funny…I am sure the next months will be both with a lot of other things thrown. Very exciting!

  3. Hi
We have moved 3 times in the old town we lived in back east and then we decided to make a big move.

All of our houses had been old and had design challenges. It was always very exciting to take something that nobody care for into a house filled with love. The sales of our houses were very easy (I know we are very lucky) but I always feel whats meant to be happen, happens. Life has a way of working itself out.

After we sold our last house we decided to make a big move. We moved from the east coast to beautiful, sunny Malibu CA. I know we are very lucky to be able to do it.

We have lived here 3 years now. We first rented a house on the beach. Then we built a small house. My twin 11 year old boys love it here.

So my very long winded point is that if you dream about how and where you want to live and really put your mind into it, the dream will come true. It may take awhile and a lot of hard work. But remember the fun part is in the adventure that gets you there.

I can't wait to see yours.

    1. Hi Darren, I can't tell you how much I appreciate that inspiring comment! You are so right our dreams can become reality if we're just willing to take risks and do the hard work to get there. We are also getting ready to make a really big move- just hoping it all falls in to place, as soon as it does, I can't wait to share where.
