Client Teen Boy's Room – BEFORE/AFTER

Did you see Kevin’s bedroom makeover last month? Well Kevin‘s older brother Jack then needed a makeover as well to make his bedroom suit the 16 year old he now is. He didn’t have many requests —  just something sporty, he liked blue, and didn’t want anything “too crazy”.

Initially he wanted to keep the pale blue walls, so I was hesitant whether her would like the new bold wall color suggestion.

But he had outgrown his young boy room…

…and needed a more stylish abode.

The design direction was to create a sporty, slightly preppy room with just enough coolness to it.  A place that would represent him well.

This was the inspiration STORY BOARD:

So the room went from this…

To this–

–AFTER–

Benjamin Moore Naples Blue on the walls.

Jill Sorensen GREY LUCKY Bedding

Jill Sorensen NATURAL REGENCY CURTAIN

Home Decorators desk

Gabby Home desk lamp

Premier Prints re upholstery on existing chair.

INK REGENCY PILLOW

MARK PILLOW in turquoise and black – Coming Soon!

(Hi cute Doggy!)

The existing love seat we left the same just added some new pillows (INK REGENCY and TURQUOISE MARK)

The curtains might be my favorite part of the room. They are my ready-to-order line with pinch pleat top for a fraction of the cost of custom drapery. They can completely change a room.

Jack was very happy with the end result. He now has a cool organized place to study and can bring anyone to his room, and feel like it represents him well.

If you are looking for a makeover for your kids’s room or any room in your house for that matter…stay tuned for my new online services.

Coming very soon!

  1. The combination of black, white and blue is perfect for a boy's room. It looks very masculine, neat and cool all at the same time. You did an exemplary job in the room makeover.
