After dropping off Luke at the school bus yesterday morning I found a dead newborn deer in our driveway. My heart completely broke! Sick to my stomach I hurried back to the house to, and imagine my surprise when I saw this a few feet from my front door!!! Imagine my surprise when I saw this!
Take some time for your friends
This was a very bitter sweet weekend. Saturday night I threw a mini launch party for LiveLikeYou on the terrace and friends and colleagues near and dear to me came over. It was such a great evening with all these amazing people, some meeting for the first time, getting together and having a beautiful night. READ MORE Take some time for your friends →
The NATE show & some Favorite things
A lot of people e-mailed me and said they missed my segment and house tour on The Nate show and wanted to see it, so I’m posting it here. (Cringe, cringe..) The reality behind the scenes was this…I scurried, cleaned and organized the house which is still not finished (scanning shots don’t hide stuff!), myREAD MORE The NATE show & some Favorite things →
NATE BERKUS had me at hello
I was so excited to get call from the producers (who are all awesome) and be invited on the Nate Berkus show last week! Having been an actor, it was really fun but also a bit scary to be invited on a TV show, because this time I had to just be…what…MYSELF??!! But what couldREAD MORE NATE BERKUS had me at hello →

My Day via Iphone
Time just seems to fly lately. Days turn into months, and months to years, and it all feels like a flash. My uncle told me when I was a kid, “the older you get the faster life goes”. If that statement is true than I must be really old!! We’re all always so busy, rushingREAD MORE My Day via Iphone →

Snowstorms, flight delays and lost luggage
After THREE days, YES THREE days of travel, we’ve finally arrived at our house in Sweden. Thursday, after sitting for hours on the runway in DC due to a (light) snowstorm, we took off towards Munich. But of course we missed our connecting flight to Stockholm. While waiting for the next flight out, a snowstormREAD MORE Snowstorms, flight delays and lost luggage →
Another year another Knock Out
It’s been a CRAZY BUSY week. Knock Out Abuse finally wrapped. Last Thursday was another sold out event at The Ritz Carlton in DC. 750 women came, as always in great spirits, to support women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Every year I dread the work that goes in to it, yet every year we have a blast, and I’m so happy we pull it off and are able to raise close to half a million dollars in one night. I’m not posting all the party pictures…instead I want to share some images of the style of the event, which had a retro vibe RED/Mad Men vibe this year. Andre Wells our genius event designer, is always in charge of creating the dreamy atmosphere.READ MORE Another year another Knock Out →
