I love designing kid’s rooms.
Kids are such fun clients particularly when their parents allow them to be involved in the design process. Patty contacted me and needed a new updated room for her son Kevin who had just turned 10. She wanted a room that would last him until going off to college. “Style-chats” with kids are my favorite. Kevin was very clear on what he wanted a lime green and black room because it was electric.

I’m all about expressing yourself with interiors. And what better place to instill this belief than with your kid? At least so I thought…
I decided Luke (now 9) should to be the design director for his bedroom makeover. I’ve been encouraging him to think about what he wants his room to look like, and what makes him happy (within reason…of course). So asked him a few weeks ago what he had in mind.
