We are working hard to get this room done in time. When design has to be done on a strict deadline you have to go with the flow. This week we found out a number of items I had wanted would not be here in time, so a new plan had to be put in One Room Challenge – Week #3
The livingroom is getting color
The beige walls lasted almost nine months in the living room. I guess I’m not very trendy …I can’t live with a “non” color on the walls, it just feels too boring. After the charcoal wallpaper and blue and white passion fruit curtain came in… …and the off white soft Geo Shag it became clear The livingroom is getting color
My new living room rug- the geometric shag
My living room carpet finally arrived, and it was worth the wait. It’s my first design of a line of geometric shags for my Jill Sorensen Lifestyle. It’s super soft underfoot with just enough modern as well as organic vibe. I’m happy! For our living room I used a cream base with a dark brown My new living room rug- the geometric shag

Our California dream home realized

Whipping our pool terrace in shape!
While it’s freezing in most of the country, here in LA it’s high time to get the outdoors in shape. I’m going full speed ahead with getting the backyard and pool terrace done as fast as possible. The scraggly trees at the end of the pool had to come down. Since we built the deck Whipping our pool terrace in shape!

Final Laundry room Before/After (with sources)
The laundry room pendant arrived this week after being back ordered for months and I finally have one fully completed room. I know I’ve shared this room earlier, but I have included the new fixture (which I love) and all sources. The pretty but simple pendant just completed this already happy room. Love the brass Final Laundry room Before/After (with sources)
House updates & chair makeovers
Here are a few house updates that happened this week. Instead of selling some chairs I decided to do some quick makeovers. This French/Swedish chair that had been in storage… …got upholstered in a simple black and white striped fabric from Premier Prints. It can now live in our still empty living room.
