This has been a crazy busy week as we are heading to the Las Vegas Market tomorrow to debut my label Jill Sorensen Lifestyle. We have a U-Haul truck filled to the brim with bedding and stuff that Mehr will bravely drive to Vegas. We’ve been been working around the clock to get stuff ready, Jill Sorensen Lifestyle goes to Vegas Market
This is the time of year when everyone is overwhelmed and the to do list is endless. It’s not the time of year you have redecorating on your mind. But as soon as January comes around the corner we are all itching to fix up our place again. So… just letting you know we now Jill Sorensen Lifestyle giftcards!

This week we’re participating in the Westedge Design fair, a big design event here in LA that takes place at the Santa Monica Airport hangar. I have never designed a booth and a pop up store, so hoping it will turn out okay! Honestly a bit nervous about it. This event is filled with sleek, cool, modern brands, so I was a little worried how all our color would be received, but decided instead of toning it down, go all the way.
We figured it hopefully will put a smile on someones face. Decorating after all should not be a serious affair, it should be fun! Getting ready for the Westedge Design Fair
I realize most of you are starting to sense a crisp fall breeze in the air, but here in LA we’re experiencing the biggest heat weave perhaps on record. (Oh how I miss fall!)
So the thoughts of that cozy fall sweater and fireplace has been swapped out to thoughts on of swimming pools. I’ve bid on a house, but no news yet. However…that doesn’t stop me from playing around with ideas for improving that retro pool area the house has. Poolside!
I wanted to create some happiness underfoot. A carpet that would cheer up a room.

There is simply NEVER enough time in a day, week, month to get it all done or to achieve all that we set out to do. Particularly not if you are a parent and run your own business. I would have to work around the clock, daytime, late evenings and take no time off. That’s SOME BUSINESS ADVICE I TRY TO FOLLOW
I’ve been working really hard to expand my carpet collection and this is just the beginning! We are preparing for our first “design” show and pop up shop! Details and dates to come later, but it will kick off in Los Angeles in early fall.
I’m pretty obsessed with these cotton carpets, super durable,soft, chic, easy to wash and easy to carry around.

I hope you had a great Memorial Weekend! I’ve been working on some new happy designs and want to share the latest duvet and sham design with you. It is (of course) my favorite LOL. I call it the DECO Bedding, because it’s inspired by the Art Deco era and has some Eastern influence which My new Bedding design!
Most of you have probably heard of the fun contest sweeping the design blog world. It’s called the One Room Challenge, a number of designers or bloggers have 6 weeks to makeover a room and you can follow the process on their blogs.
I was very excited to have talented designers Ashlina Kaposta of The Decorista and Holly Hollingsworth Phillips from The English Room include some Jill Sorensen bedding in the makeovers.
