While we are sad to be missing the July 4th celebrations over in the states, it’s hard to suffer with this view from the bedroom…. Pretty magical. How fun it was to open up Domino Magazine’s e-mail only to find our Black Key shams in a hip bedroom designed by one of the Homepolish designers. Two of my favorite things in one room. The Martinique banana leaf wallpaper mixed with Black Key bedding! How cool is this? Share This:
The house renovations and design could not move at a slower pace! We are doing a big estate sale starting next week, and as soon as all those items are out of here I can finally start with the interiors on this house. Can’t wait. However a few things have happened. Yesterday Abel Martinez came Out cobalt blue bookcases are finally installed.
Now this is fun! I looove Ellen de Generes, and now I love her even more after catching my bedding in one of the Houzz makeovers on Ellen TV. People with bedrooms in dire need of a makeover could e-mail in to the show and Houzz would send a designer to make it over. I’m How exciting!! My bedding on ELLEN TV!
Things are moving at a snails pace here. While I’m waiting for a bunch of private label wallpaper samples that will set the tone for the design direction only renovation details can be done. With the kitchen now functional and being the only furnished part of the house I’m eager to finish some more rooms. The dining area next to the kitchen is being planned out, and I’ve started the the designs for our TV room. Although I haven’t formally selected any pieces this is the vibe I’m going Design plans for our TV room
The One Room Challenge truly lives up to it’s name… Only half of the custom hood arrived in time. The palm leaf fabric for the bar stools did not arrive yet. The microwave arrived today, however 1/4 inch too wide for the cabinet. And…the rest of the house is still an empty dust pit. But One Room Challenge # 6 – The Reveal
My approach to designing this house is very different from what I’ve ever done before. I’m taking it painfully slow with one small step a time and really thinking how and what I want to surround myself with. On top of that this house is a very particular space that has to be lived in Our laundry room inspired by the Beverly Hill hotel
I’m going to be honest. I’ve seriously been thinking all week that I’ll be the first one not to complete a room for the One Room Challenge. We have wood floors in our house and that’s about it. The dining room area by the kitchen will definitely not be done, and for the actual kitchen One Room Challenge # 5
Two weeks left before the One Room Challenge reveal and my kitchen looks like this….. Not exactly the perfect spot for morning coffee yet. I bet you are all happy you are not me. We all just moved in to this unfinished house, even the animals are confused. This is the way it looks at One Room Challenge Week # 4
